CancerEvo is a research group led by David Basanta

We are mathematical modellers who work with biologists and clinicians

We try to understand

  • the ecology of tumors

  • the evolutionary dynamics of cancer progression

  • resistance to treatment

Based at the Moffitt Cancer Center, Florida

Two pieces of advice to young(er) researchers...

One I agree with: Don't stick your name in papers where you have not contributed intelectually.

Another I do not agree so much with: work all weekends. This disagreement my come from the fact that we work on different fields but if your work is mainly intelectual then it is more important to spend quality time than just a lot of time.
